Frequently Asked Questions

There is a problem with a University web page! What can I do to help?

Please e-mail the Web Team, with the exact URL of the page, details about the problem, and contact information, should we need further guidance. We'll get it fixed.

I am having problems with my student email. Who should I contact?

Please contact the Help Desk (help@nwmissouri.edu or 660-562-1634).

I have updated my department's web pages using the Collage content manager. What do I do to have these changes reflected on the web?

You need to e-mail the Web Team, and ask for the page(s) to be deployed. We will check the pages for things like spelling errors, formatting errors, and questionable content. When asking for a page to be deployed, please include the exact URL of the page.

I want to update my department's web pages, but we are not yet using the Collage content manager. What should I do?

You need to e-mail the Web Team and ask for the page(s) to be changed. Send us details about the change you want made, as well as the exact URL of the page to be changed. Feel free to send us any files (photos, PDF documents, etc.) that you want posted.

I submitted a request for change two days ago, and it's still not live!

The length of time needed to update a page depends on two things: the size/complexity of the update, and the amount of work in the queue before the update. When it comes to performing page updates, we work on a first-come, first-served basis.

In comparison with the sharp Northwest website template, our page looks old and worn-out. How can I have our pages updated with the Northwest template?

Simply e-mail the Web Team and ask! If you intend to do a complete overhaul on the organization of your website, we can help with that, too. You should note that this type of request is prone to be postponed if the Team gets particularly busy; please be patient with us.

Can you help me with my CatPages page?

No, the Web Team is concerned only with web pages for departments and organizations within the University.
