Regional basketball tournament information

The Northwest Bearcat men's and women's basketball teams swept the MIAA Basketball Tournament last week in Kansas City and have both advanced to the NCAA South Central Regional tournaments.

Women's basketball, hosted by West Texas A&M, Canyon, Texas

Regional Championship Schedule

8 p.m. Friday, March 14, No. 1 West Texas A&M vs. No. 8 Northwest Missouri State at the First United Bank Center, 3301 Fourth Avenue, Canyon, Texas, on the West Texas A&M campus.

With a win on Friday, the women will play at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15. With a win on Saturday, they will play in the South Central Region championship game at 7 p.m. Monday, March 17.

Radio

All games will be on the Bearcat Radio Network at: www.nwmissouri.edu/sports/womensbball/webcasts.htm. They can also be heard on the following stations KXCV (Maryville, 90.5 FM), KNIM (Maryville, 97.1 FM), KRNW (Chillicothe, 88.9 FM), KAAN (Bethany, 95.5 FM).

All-session tournament tickets can be purchased by calling 806.651.4424. Single session tickets will be available at the First United Bank Center on game days. Ticket prices are listed below.

All-session reserved $24, adult general admission $20, youth/student/senior $12.

Single session reserved $10, adult general admission $7, youth/student/senior $4

Men's Tournament, hosted by Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas

Regional championship schedule

2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, No. 2 Northwest Missouri State vs. No. 7 St. Edwards in Wisdom Gymnasium on the campus of Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas.

With a win on Saturday, the men will play at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 16. With a win on Sunday, they will play in the South Central Region championship Game at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18.

Tournament pass, adults $25, students $10

Single session tickets, adults $7, students $3

There are 100 tickets reserved for each school participating in the tournament. If individuals want to sit in the Northwest section, they must indicate that at the time that they are purchasing tickets whether they are purchased via telephone or at the ticket office. Tickets can be purchased inside Wisdom Gym one hour prior to the contest. To purchase tickets with a credit card, call 254.592.3282.
