The eighth annual Brick & Click Libraries Symposium took place on the Northwest campus Nov. 7 with a record number of academic librarians and other participants attending.
A total of 174 librarians representing 84 institutions in 23 states and the Caribbean nation of Jamaica took part in this year’s conference.
The symposium was created to provide a professional development forum for academic librarians in the four-state region. Each year since, the event has attracted a growing number of librarians from other regions of the country.
Information Librarian/Assistant Professor Carolyn Johnson and Electronic Serials Specialist Kathy Ferguson co-chaired the symposium’s planning and coordination team, which worked throughout the year to plan the event.
Frank Baudino, head librarian for information services, and Connie Ury, library outreach coordinator, serve as managing editors of the proceedings, which are published each year on the Educational Resources Information Center database.
