On Dec. 10, 2007, Northwest Missouri State University was dealt a devastating blow when a severe ice storm struck much of the Midwest.
A walk across campus tells the story. More than 40 percent of the trees at Northwest, which is designated as the Missouri Arboretum, suffered damage, much of it severe.
Your help is needed. With a gift of $300, you can commemorate a tree on the Northwest campus. Your donation will cover the cost of acquisition and planting as well as maintenance over the tree’s lifetime. In addition, your name, or the name of a friend or loved one, will be included on a plaque next to the tree. Smaller gifts in any amount also are welcome and will help pay for the continuing clean-up and arboretum maintenance. MORE
