Faculty present research at national conference
Several faculty from the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Counseling recently gave team and individual presentations at the American Psychological Society conference in San Francisco. Faculty members who attended the conference and the titles of their presentations are:
- Dr. Jerrold Barnett, professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, “Can Quizzes With Higher-Order Thinking Questions Facilitate Critical Thinking and Test Performance?” and “Reliability and Validity of the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal.”
- Dr. Alisha Francis, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, and Dr. April Haberyan, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, “Gender, College Students’ Fear of Victimization, and Behavior: A Complex Relationship.”
- Dr. Alisha Francis, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, and Dr. Rebecca Hendrix, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, “Student Research Conferences: Reinforcing the Learning Experience?”
- Dr. Rebecca Hendrix, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, Dr. Linda Sterling, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, and Dr. Ryan Wessell, assistant professor of psychology, sociology and counseling, “Crib Notes Improve Test Performance and Decrease Test Anxiety.”
