Cindy Kenkel
Cindy Kenkel, assistant professor of marketing and management, recently made her annual contribution to the Extreme Resume Makeover Scholarship Fund administered through the Northwest Foundation.
Kenkel supports the scholarship through royalties from her book, “Extreme Resume Makeover -- The Ultimate Guide to Creating or Renovating Your Resume” (McGraw-Hill). Gifts so far total $3,000.
“I feel compelled to donate the royalties I earn from local students back to the students since the inspiration behind the book was my students,” Kenkel said. “Awarding a scholarship in my department seemed like a logical way to give back to the students who purchase this book.”
Scholarship eligibility requirements were changed to give preference to students who are also Maryville High School graduates. Kenkel said this was done to increase the scholarship’s local impact.
