Dr. John Fisher
An article by Dr. John Fisher, assistant professor of communication, theatre and languages, was recently published in the journal “Competition Forum.”
The article, titled “Mass Media Impact on Post-Secondary Policy Making: A Case Study of a Failed Merger Attempt,” examines a proposed merger several years ago involving Northwest Missouri State University and the University of Missouri System. This fall, Fisher presented a paper on the same topic at a meeting of the American Society for Competitiveness.
In other academic activity, Fisher recently presented a paper titled “Native People and Systemic Bias in the Public Education System” at a meeting of the Midwest Association of Canadian Studies.
