Dr. Tim Wall
Dr. Tim Wall, instructor of educational leadership and director of educational assessment and teacher education student services, traveled to Washington, D.C., in June, where he attended the Summer Leadership Institute of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
While in Washington, Wall also participated in AACTE’s Day on the Hill, an event that gives teacher education professionals an opportunity to meet with members of Congress.
Wall attended the conference and lobbying session as a representative of the Missouri Association for Colleges of Teacher Education. He noted that previous MACTE lobbying efforts have helped secure funding for TEACH grants, which provide teachers qualified in mathematics, science, technology, special education and foreign languages with incentives to spend at least four years working in districts serving economically disadvantaged students.
