Dr. Chris Gibson

Dr. Chris Gibson, associate professor of music, has been invited to lecture on current trends in treating palatal air leak (stress velopharyngeal insufficiency) at the University of Oklahoma-Norman Clarinet Symposium June 5-7.

Palatal air leak is a condition caused by a physical defect, injury or dysfunction that allows air to escape into the nasal passages while a woodwind player is blowing through the mouth.
