Three Northwest faculty members recently participated in the Midwest Popular Culture Association/Midwest American Culture Association conference in Kansas City. Their contributions to the conference are described below:
Denise Weiss, instructor of mathematics and statistics, presented a paper titled “Mathematical Game Playing as Popular Culture.”
Dr. Bayo Oludaja, associate professor of communication, theatre and languages, presented a paper titled “Race and Ethnicity: A Critical Perspective.”
Dr. John Fisher, assistant professor of communication, theatre and languages, gave a presentation titled “The Impact of Systemic Bias on the Education of Native Americans.”
