Dr. Max Fridell, assistant professor of educational leadership, recently presented a symposium at the 2007 National Association for Multicultural Education Conference in Baltimore. The session was titled, "Esmerelda and Eduardo Go to Thailand's Yaowawit Tsunami Relief School." Fridell was also selected to serve on the peer review board for NAME conference presenters.
Together with Dr. Terry Lovelace, assistant professor of curriculum and instruction, Fridell also presented an instructional session at the 34th Plains International Reading Association Regional Conference in Overland Park, Kan. The session was titled, "Upgrade Flat Stanley! Using E-mail to Involve Students in Literacy and Social Studies."
