Department of Educational Leadership
- Dr. Kristi Alexander, assistant professor of educational leadership, recently presented research at the Southern Regional Council on Educational Administration conference in Kansas City. Her presentations were titled, "Eating Disorders Among Adolescents and How School Leaders Can Recognize Symptoms and Find a Solution" and "Authentic Leadership: A New Approach."
- An article by Dr. Phillip Messner, professor of educational leadership, and Frank Grispino Jr., director of the rehabilitation and sports medicine department at St. Francis Hospital and Health Services, was recently accepted for publication by the peer-reviewed "Journal of Hand Therapy." The article is titled, "Adherence to Scheduled Therapy Sessions: The Influence of Payer Source."
- Dr. Virgil Freeman, assistant professor of educational leadership, presented and led a roundtable discussion during the summer conference of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration in Chicago. The session was titled, "Rural Missouri Public School Female Superintendent Career Studies."
Freeman was also selected to serve on the peer review board for domain editors of "Connexions," a Web site maintained by the council that electronically publishes academic research.
