Dr. Rebecca Dunnell, assistant professor of music, presented "Legal and Financial Considerations for your Flute Club" in August at the annual convention of the National Flute Association in Albuquerque, N.M.
Currently president of the Kansas City Flute Association, Dunnell also drew on her experiences with flute clubs in New York and North Carolina while serving as general manager for Inter-Cultural Music Inc. and conducting workshops sponsored by Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and Accountants for the Arts.
Each year, the NFA convention attracts about 3,000 flutists worldwide. Next year's meeting will take place in Kansas City.
