Dr. Himadri Chakraborty

Dr. Himadri Chakraborty, assistant professor of chemistry and physics, recently traveled to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he spoke at the joint meeting of the American Physical Society Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics and the Canadian Association of Physicists Division of Atomic and Molecular Physics and Photonic Interactions. His presentation was titled, "Enhancement in low energy valence photoionization of argon atom confined in buckminster fullerene."

Chakraborty also took part in a poster presentation titled, "Electron-correlation induced blue-shift of oscillator strength in photoabsorption by clusters."

His collaborators included Lamine Madjet, Freie Universitaet, Berlin; Jan Michael Rost, Max Planck Institute, Dresden; and Steve Manson, Georgia State University.
