One-named illusionist Reza and sign-langiage comedian Keith Wann will perform on
the Northwest campus in April. Both shows are being sponsored by the Student
Activities Council. Admission is free.

Evenings of comedy and magic are on tap in April at Northwest during two free shows sponsored by the Student Activities Council.

Reza (he uses just one name), a rising young illusionist, will appear at 7 p.m. Monday, April 21, in the Performing Arts Center, and American Sign Language comedian Keith Wann, brings his show to the J.W. Jones Student Union Boardroom at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23.

A professional magician since his mid-teens, Reza (www.magicreza.com) is a veteran of the Branson live-entertainment scene who has since become a popular draw at theaters, corporate events and college campuses nationwide.

His shows are noted for their theatrical atmosphere and edgy combination of special effects and lighting. Reza’s signature illusion, “Destination,” is an audience interaction piece that appears to magically beat the odds of random selection by more than a billion to one.

Wann (www.keithwann.com), the hearing child of deaf adults (CODA), offers unique and often hilarious insights into growing up immersed in deaf culture.

A performance artist and comedian, Wann has appeared on television and in movies and is working on a book-length collection of CODA stories. He is involved with Flying Fingers, a camp for both deaf and CODA children.

Other projects include a program at the Julliard School on interpreting Broadway plays through sign language.
