The Northwest chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity in cooperation with the city of Maryville is sponsoring an Easter Egg Extravaganza beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Beal Park, located at the corner of North Depot and East 7th streets.
The Easter egg hunt, which will include drawings and prizes, is open to all Maryville children up to age 12. Admission is free. Proceeds raised from refreshments sold at a concession stand will go toward the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Maryville Mayor Chad Jackson is scheduled to offer brief remarks at the event, and there will be guest appearances by Nisha Bharti and Mac Mohi, Northwest’s 2007 Homecoming king and queen; Miss Northwest titleholders; and -- of course -- the Easter Bunny.
