Kyle Cease
Comedian/actor Kyle Cease will perform a free show at Northwest at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the J.W. Jones Student Union Ballroom.
While still in his late teens, Cease became the youngest headlining comedian in the Pacific Northwest. By age 21 he was touring nationally and had won the International Giggles Comedy Competition.
While still living in his hometown of Seattle, Cease was cast as "Bogey Lowenstein" in the feature motion picture “10 Things I hate About You,” the success of which led to a move down the coast, where he quickly became a popular member of the Los Angeles comedy scene.
Cease made his first television appearance on “The Martin Short Show” and continued his film career as the “Slow Clapper” in the Columbia Pictures comedy “Not Another Teen Movie.”
More recently, he has worked on an independent feature project with Gary Busey and appeared on television shows like “One on One, “Super Secret Movie Rules,” “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
After winning Comedy Central’s "Laugh Riots" competition in 2002, Cease has become one of the most in-demand comics on the college circuit.
The television special "Comedy Central Presents Kyle Cease" recently aired in conjunction with the release of his new CD, “One Dimple,” which contains a full-length documentary, a Comedy Central Premium Blend appearance and other features.
Cease’s appearance at Northwest is being sponsored by the Student Activities Council.
