All Faculty Art Exhibit opens Jan. 14 at DeLuce gallery

Members of the Northwest Department of Art will display examples of their work during the annual All Faculty Art Exhibit in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building gallery Jan. 14 through Feb. 1.

The gallery is located on the first floor just east of the DeLuce Building’s main north entrance.

Faculty artists will be on hand to talk about their creations during a lecture and reception set for 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in DeLuce 244. Regular gallery viewing hours are 6-9 p.m. Monday; 1-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and 1:30-5 p.m. on Sunday.

A yearly tradition for the department, the All Faculty Art Exhibit features recent work in a variety of media representing the artists' specialties and areas of instruction.

The show typically includes paintings, large- and small-scale sculptures, graphic design pieces, prints, paper and fiber art, ceramics, photographs, drawings and digitally created images.

Gail Simpson, sculpture, March 31-April 25; lecture/reception 7 p.m. Monday, March 31, DeLuce 244.
