TV comedy writer Mike Henry

Mike Henry, supervising producer, writer and voice actor on the Fox network cult comedy hit "The Family Guy," will speak on the Northwest campus at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in Charles Johnson Theater. The free show is open to the public.

Henry has worked on the program since it premiered after the 1999 Super Bowl and voices the characters of Cleveland, Cleveland Jr., Herbert the Old Man, the Performance Artist and the Greased-Up Deaf Guy.

As a speaker, Henry takes audiences behind the scenes of "The Family Guy" with rarely-seen clips and out-takes. He also describes "cutting his own path" to success by never giving up on an unconventional career.

In addition to "The Family Guy," Henry's show business and acting credits include: "Yes, Dear," "The Gilmore Girls" and commercials for Heineken beer, Foot Locker and Home Depot. He can also be seen in award-winning shorts written and directed with his brother Patrick for the Burly Bear Network.

Henry's appearance at Northwest is being sponsored by the Student Activities Council.
