Northwest Regent Bill Loch
The Northwest Board of Regents recently elected Bill Loch, Maryville, to serve a two-year term as president of the University's governing panel. He replaces Regent Rita Hanks of Smithville.
Gov. Matt Blunt appointed Loch to a five-year term on the Board in April 2006. The 55-year-old businessman is vice president of Loch Sand and Construction Co. and has longstanding ties to the University. His term expires Jan. 1, 2012.
Loch and his wife, Jessica, have three grown children and are both active members of the Maryville and Northwest communities.
The board also elected Regent Don Schneider, Wildwood, to a two-year term as vice president. He replaces Regent Rollie Stadlman of Chillicothe.
Northwest's Board of Regents sets policy for the University, exercises budget oversight and approves initiatives and guidelines to be administered by University staff.
