Comedians Loni Love and Dan Ahdoot will perform live at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 in Northwest's Performing Arts Center.

The free Homecoming week show is being sponsored by the Student Activities Council.

Love is best known for playing Viola on NBC's mid-season comedy "Thick and Thin." Her other television credits include "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn," Comedy Central’s "Premium Blend" and "The Best Damn Sports Show Period

Ahdoot has performed at more than 200 colleges around the country in addition to making appearances on "Premium Blend," "20/20 with Barbara Walters" and Sirius Satellite Radio's "Brueur Unleashed."

A native of Detroit, Love, a former engineer, got her first break after standing in line for five hours at an open call for the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, where she beat out 600 other comics for a spot on the bill.

In 2003, she was awarded the Jury Prize for best stand-up comedian at the 2003 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and, that same year, made "Variety's" list of "Ten Comics to Watch."

New Yorker Ahdoot gained popularity as a contestant on NBC's reality show "Last Comic Standing" and subsequent performances on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend."

After graduating with honors from Johns Hopkins University, Ahdoot had planned to attend medical school but turned to comedy instead. In addition to numerous television appearances, he has opened for such headliners as Lewis Black, Jay Mohr and Dave Chappelle.
