KXCV/KRNW, Northwest's 100,000-watt public radio station, will conduct its annual on-air fundraising drive from Saturday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 19.
This year's goal is $30,000, and all money raised will be used to pay for programming, including such popular shows as "Morning Edition," "Fresh Air, "Prairie Home Companion" and "Wait, Wait … Don't Tell Me."
Acting General Manager Patty Holley said the station is seeking to acquire at least 45 new members during the week-long campaign.

Donations and pledges in any amount are appreciated, but listeners wishing to join KXCV are urged to consider a basic membership-level gift of at least $40. The next suggested membership level is $75.
For $140, patrons receive a gourmet meal for two and two tickets to the Northwest Encore performing arts series show of their choice. For $225, members receive a gourmet meal for four and four Encore tickets.
This year's Encore performances include "War Bonds, "the Songs and Letters of World War II" (Thursday, Nov. 29); The Five Browns (Tuesday, Dec. 4); "Carmen" by the St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre (Wednesday, Jan. 30); and "Ring of Fire," a stage review featuring the music of Johnny Cash, (Monday, Feb. 11).
Members must submit premium requests no later than Friday, Nov. 16.
In addition to airing jazz and classical music programming across northwest and north central Missouri and portions of southwestern Iowa, KXCV (90.5 FM) and repeater station KRNW (88.9FM) in Chillicothe broadcast nationally syndicated shows like "Performance Today," "Car Talk" and "Pipedreams."
The station also offers Audio Reader, which transmits spoken versions of printed matter to people with visual impairments, and sponsors the Stucki Broadcasting Museum, an interactive repository of radio history housed on the top floor of Wells Hall on the Northwest campus.
Other KXCV offerings include "On the Go with Public Radio" tours and the Bearcat Radio Network, which delivers live broadcasts of Bearcat intercollegiate sporting events.
