Northwest's Student Activities Council will present Dr. Jim Wand, hypnotist, at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Charles Johnson Theater, which is located at the south end of campus on the first floor of the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.
The show, which kicks off a weekend of activities associated with Northwest's annual Family Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 29, is free and open to the public. Tickets, however, are required and will be available at the door.
Involved with hypnosis for more than 20 years, Wand holds a Ph.D. in psychology and has more than 5,000 professional engagements to his credit. He is considered to be one of the foremost hypnotism entertainers in the world.
A frequent television guest, he has worked with such stars as Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Carrot Top, Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Probst (host of Survivor), Sylvester Stallone, George Strait and The Judds. He has also appeared on "The Sally Show," "The Judge Joe Brown Show," the Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS.
