If an existing University photo does not serve
your needs, you may select for free an existing stock photo that is available
in University Relations. Contact Melinda Kelsey or Kim Ziegler at
design@nwmissouri.edu.
You also have the option to purchase your own
stock imagery at the expense of your department. Bigstock Photo is one such
company with images available for purchase, but you are welcome to use any other
stock photo company.
Individuals should not use photos from the
internet without permission. Images taken from Google Images or other online
sources may be trademarked or copyrighted, and you may be breaking the law by
using one of these images.
Promos will focus primarily on events that
require an action, i.e. it takes the user to a registration form or to a link
to purchase tickets. All events can be promoted on the University calendar or
possibly through a news release.
Promos can also include pressing information
that needed to get out to a wide audience. For example, housing registration
deadlines.
To request a promo graphic, please contact Mark Hornickel at mhorn@nwmissouri.edu.

Projects are limited to 2-3
proofs. When you submit a project, please include a detailed design concept,
all copy and photos necessary. Copy submitted to University Relations should
already be proofed by all necessary individuals involved in this project, and
be final and ready to go. The proofing process is meant to catch minor design
and minor editing changes, and should not be a time to rewrite copy or change
design parameters.
One redesign is allowed per project. Please realize that a
redesign of a project will result in a delay in completion of project and may
delay deadlines. When submitting the project request form, customers should submit
as much information as possible regarding the design they have in mind, and
samples or sketches if appropriate.
