Northwest Missouri State University

Religious Organizations

Baptist Student Union

 President: Andrew McDonald
Advisor: Brian Haile
Mission: The purpose of this organization is to lead students to a commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and nurture them in the Christian faith and life.
Purpose: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"      Matthew 22:34-40 (NIV)

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."      Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV)

So what is the BSU all about? We believe that these two verses sum up nearly all that we are trying to accomplish in our ministry. In a nutshell, we want students to grow in three key relationships: in intimacy with God, in fellowship with believers, and in influence with non-believers.
