Alpha Mu Gamma Honor Society

Mission: The mission statement of Alpha Mu Gamma is to honor students for their outstanding achievement during their first years of study of a foreign language. Upon initiation, students receive a parchment certificate of membership and may wear the scroll-shaped gold key or pin.
Purpose: Our purpose is to promote the study of languages in order to promote awareness of diversity and culture.  This organization is an honors society that aims to recognize those who have achieved quality grades in foreign language studies and/or have studied abroad.

Alpha Psi Omega

President: Erika Baker

Mission: We, the members of ALPHA PSI OMEGA, in order to develop talents in all aspects of theatre, to foster the cultural values we believe theatre develops, and to encourage cooperation and collaboration among member chapters, do hereby form and establish this constitution of THE ALPHA PSI OMEGA NATIONAL THEATRE HONOR SOCIETY.
Purpose: ALPHA PSI OMEGA was organized as a theatre honor society for the purpose ofproviding acknowledgement to those demonstrating a high standard of accomplishment in theatre and, through the expansion of ALPHA PSI OMEGA among colleges and universities, providing a wider fellowship for those interested in theatre. The society is not intended to take the place of any regular theatre clubs or producing groups, but as students qualify they may be rewarded by election to membership in this society.

Alpha Sigma Lambda

President: Karen Kepka

Mission: We are an honor society which partners with colleges and universities to celebrate the scholarship and leadership of adult students in higher education.
Purpose: Alpha Sigma Lambda's aim is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work.

Blue Key Honor Society

President: Brandon Clark
Advisor(s): Brad Landhuis
Mission: Blue Key Honor Society is a premier honor society that recognizes primarily juniors and seniors for all-around scholarship, leadership, and service excellence at baccalaureate degree granting institutions.  Blue Key recognizes students in any major course of study. 
Purpose: Blue Key recognizes student leaders on campus. Membership requires that a person be a full-time student and be nominated and approved by a two-thirds vote of the active chapter. Nominees must be involved in campus activities and be in the top one-third of their respective classes scholastically.

Delta Mu Delta

President: Tyler Otis

Mission: DMD is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities to create a DMD community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through lifetime membership.
Purpose: To promote higher scholarship in training for business and to recognize and reward scholastic achievement in business subjects.

Delta Tau Alpha

President: Tiffany Dugan

Mission: The Honor Society of Delta Tau Alpha (DTA) promotes and recognizes scholarship and leadership accomplishments of agricultural students while emphasizing character development, enhancing undergraduate preparation for professional positions, and joining with other agricultural student's organizations in the promotion of agriculture.
Purpose:

I. To promote and recognize high standards of scholarship, leadership, and character among agricultural students.

II. To encourage and foster high ethical standards of agriculture and professional positions held by agricultural students.

III. To band together a group of outstanding students who by scholastic accomplishment, service, and upholding high character standards have been recognized for these traits and are capable of recognizing these traits in others.

IV. To promote the profession of agriculture.

V. To render service and to cooperate with the student bodies and the agricultural division of Northwest Missouri State University.

Gamma Sigma Epsilon

President: Justin Wright

Mission: To promote professionalism and scholarship in chemistry.
Purpose: The purpose of this organization shall be to recognize outstanding students demonstrating exceptional ability and interest in the field of chemistry. It aims to promote professionalism and scholarship in chemistry and the general welfare of its members.

Honors Student Association

Mission:

To work in partnership with the university administration to guide and shape the honors program

To work with faculty to represent the academic interests of honors students

To provide a voice in campus affairs for honors students and to enrich the honors experience

Purpose:

Initiate/execute orientation of honors students and honors faculty to program objectives and develop connections between faculty and students

Regularly meet with honors faculty council to represent the honors student body

Provide regular meeting arrangements for honors students and honors council

Meet regularly with dean/director of honors program

Provide co-curricular programming for honors students through speakers, excursions and service orientated projects

Kappa Kappa Psi

Mission:

Kappa Kappa Psi is a fraternal organization that promotes the advancement of college and university bands through dedicated service and support to bands; comprehensive education; leadership opportunities; and recognition; for the benefit of its members and society.

Purpose:

 Be it known that Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Fraternity for College Bandmembers, is an organization operating exclusively in the field of the college and university bands, and for the following several purposes:

(1) To promote the existence and welfare of the college and university bands and to cultivate at large a wholesome respect for their activities and achievements.

(2) To honor outstanding bandmembers through privilege of membership extended as a reward for technical achievement and appreciation for the best in music.

(3) To stimulate campus leadership and promulgate an uncompromising respect through the medium of the college band for gracious conduct, good taste and unswerving loyalty.

(4) To foster a close relationship between college bands and promote a high average of attainment by the performance of good music and selection of worthwhile projects.

(5) To provide a pleasant and helpful social experience for all engaged in college band work and to cooperate with other musical organizations in any manner consistent with the purposes of the institution at which chapters are located. 

Kappa Omicron Nu

Mission:

The mission of Kappa Omicron Nu is empowered leaders through scholarship, research, and leadership. This mission will enable the organization and chapters to prepare scholars and researchers for the 21st century.

Purpose:

 Kappa Omicron Nu is the leading honor society for students in the human sciences. It was established on February 21, 1990 by the consolidation of Kappa Omicron Phi and Omicron Nu. Kappa Omicron Nu chapters are located in colleges and universities that offer a strong human sciences program.

National Society of Collegiate Scholars

Mortar Board

President: Alana Mount

Mission:

Mortar Board, Inc., a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership and service, provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community. (Adopted July 1994)

Purpose:

To recognize and foster scholarship, leadership and service.

Pi Omega Pi

Mission:

 To create a fellowship among teachers of business subjects. 
 To create and encourage interest and promote scholarship in business education. 
 To encourage civic responsibility. 
 To foster high ethical standards in business and professional life among teachers of business.
 To teach the ideal of service as the basis of all worthy enterprise.

Purpose:

The purpose is to establish and direct chapters of Pi Omega Pi in Colleges and Universities engaged in business teacher education.

Psi Chi

Mission:

The mission of Psi Chi is to produce a well-educated, ethical, and socially responsible member committed to contributing to the science and profession of psychology and to society in general.

Purpose:

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. 

Sigma Gamma Epsilon

Mission:

The Society of Sigma Gamma Epsilon was established to recognize scholarship and professionalism in the Earth Sciences.

Purpose:

The Society of Sigma Gamma Epsilon was established to recognize scholarship and professionalism in the Earth Sciences. It has for its objectives the scholastic, scientific, and professional advancement of its members and the extension of relations of friendship and assistance among colleges and universities which are devoted to the advancement of the Earth Sciences. 

Sigma Tau Delta-English Honor Society

Mission:

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society.  A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, it was founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan University. 

The Society strives to
*Confer distinction for high achievement in English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies;
*Provide, through its local chapters. cultural stimuilation on college campuses and promote interest in literature and the English language in sourrounding communities;
*Foster all aspects of the discipline of English, including literature, language, and writing;
*Promote exemplary character and good fellowship among its members;
*Exhibit high standards of academic excellence;and
*Serve society by fostering literacy.

Purpose: Sigma Tau Delta's central purpose is to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies.  Sigma Tau Delta also recognizes the accomplishments of professional writers who have contributed to the fields of language and literature.
