Bartek highlights MIAA honors for Bearcats

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Alexis Bartek earned the MIAA Sportsmanship Award Thursday as the Northwest Missouri State junior highlighted the list of all-conference honors for the Bearcat women’s tennis team.

Bartek also earned Honorable Mention accolades at No. 3 singles while Camila Quesada joined her at No. 1 singles. Senior Emily Hoffman also picked up Honorable Mention honors for the Bearcats at No. 6 singles.

Bartek and Quesada also earned Honorable Mention accolades at No. 1 doubles as the duo finished 21-6 on the season. The No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams for the Bearcats also picked up Honorable Mention honors, as Natalia Galindo and Gisela Font were tabbed with the honor at No. 2 doubles. .

Hoffman and teammate Leslee Feldhaus finished 4-6 to pick up the honor at No. 3 doubles.

Northwest finished 13-11 on the season and 7-3 in MIAA action as the Bearcats fell to Central Oklahoma in the third place match of the MIAA Championships.
