Mustangs run past Bearcats

Results

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Northwest Missouri State women’s tennis team fell, 7-2 to No. 40 Midwestern State Saturday at the MSU Tennis Center.

The Bearcats fell to 5-4 on the season while the Mustangs improved to 8-5.

Camila Quesada played a part in the Bearcats only two points on the day. Quesada and Alexis Bartek earned a 8-6victory at No. 1 doubles over Kayla Casey and Madeline Schorlemmer.

Quesada notched the Bearcats second point of the afternoon with a 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles. The win moved Quesada’s record to 11-3 on the season.

Northwest returns to action Sunday as the Bearcats continue their spring break trip to take on Cameron University in Lawton, Okla.
