Taylor was a four-year standout at Central High School in St. Joseph … she played No. 1 singles as a sophomore, junior and senior and was selected St. Joseph News Press Women’s Player of the Year … she medaled all four years in the Suburban North Conference Tournament (two second-place finishes in doubles with different partners, a fourth-place in doubles and a fourth-place in singles) … medaled at districts three straight years, including reaching individual sectionals each of the past two seasons as a doubles tandem … came up one win short of reaching the Missouri State Tennis Championships each time before falling in the district finals
