Bearcats pick up First Place finish at Truman Invite
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State women's tennis team traveled to the Truman State Fall Invitational over the weekend taking three first place finishes among the likes of Truman, Johnson County Community College, and Quincy University.
Emily Hoffman placed first in Flight 4 while Leslee Feldhaus and Kim Ho tied for first place in Flight 3. Erika Leston and Stephanie Manix also tied for first place in Flight 2 for the Bearcats.
Feldhaus, Ho, Leston, and Manix were undefeated during the tournament, and each finished with six match wins. Hoffman was also undefeated in her first place finish going 3-0 for the tournament.
Alexis Bartek and Camila Quesada tied for second place in Flight 1. Both Bartek and Quesada finished the tournament with a 5-1 record as Shannon Beckett of Johnson County CC, defeated both Bartek and Quesada. Beckett finished first in Flight 1.
Bartek lost to Beckett 9-8, and Quesada received her only loss to Beckett with a score of 8-0.
