Bearcats drop two in Tulsa
TULSA, Okla.-The Northwest Missouri State women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday as the Bearcats fell to Arkansas-Fort Smith 6-0 and Dallas Baptist 5-0 in neutral site matchups.
Northwest (6-8) fell in straight sets to Ark.-Fort Smith. Sureena Weir was defeated by Abby Whittemore 6-2 and 6-4. The doubles team of Alexis Bartek and Emily Hoffman were defeated in doubles competition 8-4 while the duo of Weir and Alison Wulff were beat 8-3.
Against Dallas Baptist, who is ranked 45th in the country and eighth in the region, Emily Hoffman and Ashleigh Kaberline were the only two to play singles matches. Hoffman was defeated by Baptist's Natalie Holmes 6-3 and 6-1. Kaberline went down 6-3 and 6-0.
Not all matches were played in the two games due to time constraints.
