Elkhorn's Mannix Signs With Northwest
MARYVILLE, Mo-Northwest Missouri State tennis coach Mark Rosewell announced the signing of a new recruit to the Bearcat women's tennis team. Stephanie Mannix of Elkhorn, Neb., has signed a national letter of intent to play tennis at Northwest next season.
Mannix, who spent her first three seasons of high school at Lincoln East High School, compiled a career record of 67-25 and was a three-year letterwinner for the Spartans. Mannix transferred to Millard North High School for her senior season and will be playing number one singles for the Mustangs this season.
Mannix was the Lincoln Tennis Association Junior Recreation Player of the Year in 2007 and in 2008. She has also placed in multiple USTA Missouri Valley tournaments and is a 4.0 student. Mannix was the recipient of the Distinguished Scholar Award from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010, and was named the Scholar Athlete Award winner from Lincoln East High School in May 2010.
