Bartek Signs With Northwest

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State tennis coach Mark Rosewell has announced the signing of Alexis Bartek of Lincoln, Neb., to a national letter of intent.

Bartek, a senior at Class A Lincoln Southwest, is a two-time conference champion and two-time state qualifier. She advanced to the semifinals as a freshman and was a quarterfinalist a year ago.

Bartek was named Player of the Year by the Lincoln Tennis Association as a freshman and as a junior. A torn ACL suffered during basketball season forced her to miss her sophomore season of tennis.

In addition to tennis and basketball, Bartek also spend two years playing volleyball. She's a member of the national honor society and selected as a co-chair director for service projects by her peers.
