MARYVILLE, Mo. – One week removed from their last meeting, the Northwest Missouri State women’s basketball team looks to avenge the 65-53 loss to Washburn.
The Bearcats are currently 11-10, 5-8 in MIAA play and are currently number 10 in the conference standings. The top 12 teams make it into the conference tournament with the top four receiving a first round bye.
An upset over No. 6 Washburn (18-3, 12-1) would be pivotal for Northwest as they sit a game behind Missouri Western in the standings. The Bearcats will meet up with the Griffons Wednesday at Bearcat Arena.
Maggie Marnin reached the 250 point plateau with her 11 points against Fort Hays. Marnin is averaging 11.4 points a game. The sophomore is second in the MIAA in field goal percentage as she is shooting 58.8 percent from the floor this season.

Bearcat Arena will be alive Saturday as tip-off between Northwest and No. 6 Washburn will commence at 1:30 p.m.
