Northwest Signs Elkhorn's Jensen
MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State women's basketball head coach Gene Steinmeyer has announced the addition of another signee to the Bearcats. Courtney Jensen from Elkhorn, Neb., has committed to play for Northwest beginning next season.
Jensen averaged 14.3 points, three rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for Elkhorn High School, leading the Antlers to a state tournament berth in her junior year. "Courtney is one of those players that have guard skills, but a forward's size," said Steinmeyer. "She is an excellent scorer and can go behind the three-point line and will give us options at the guard and forward positions."
Jensen, who was an Eastern Midlands all-conference selection the last two seasons, led the state of Nebraska with an 83.5 percent free-throw percentage. Jensen also made 37.5 percent of her shots from behind the three-point line the past two seasons.
