Steinmeyer Announces Signing
MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State women's basketball head coach Gene Steinmeyer has announced that Brianna Forbes, a 5-6 guard from Lee's Summit, Mo., and Lee's Summit West High School, has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Bearcats next season. Forbes suffered an ACL injury before the start of her senior year of high school. Until that point, Forbes had averaged 18 points, four rebounds and three steals, while shooting 55 percent from the floor and was 17-for-24 from three-point range in 11 AAU games that season.
"Brianna is one of those kids that just won't give up," said coach Steinmeyer. "She's had some tough injuries but the dream of playing college basketball is still alive for her."
