No. 24 Arkansas Tech 98, Northwest Missouri State 73
MARYVILLE, Mo.-Jenny Vining's game-high 22 points led five Arkansas Tech players in double figures as the 24th-ranked Golden Suns moved to 12-0 following a 98-73 win against Northwest Missouri State Saturday at Bearcat Arena.
Arkansas Tech used a full-court press and zone defense to help force 35 turnovers. The Bearcats committed 23 turnovers in the first half and trailed 57-35 at halftime.
Laura Beth Anderson had seven of the Golden Suns' 21 steals in the contest. She flirted with a quadruple double, finishing with 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
Vining made all five of Arkansas Tech's three-pointers and was 5-of-10 from behind the arc. Natalia Santos and Jessica Weatherford had 16 points apiece for the Golden Suns.
Northwest (6-6) got a team-high 18 points from Abby Henry and 12 from Gabby Curtis. The Bearcats shot 44 percent from the field, but their 35 turnovers led to 40 points by Arkansas Tech.
