Brue Earns MIAA Honorable Mention Accolades
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State senior guard Meghan Brue (Underwood, Iowa) earned MIAA Honorable Mention recognition after a vote by the league's head coaches announced today.
It's the first career MIAA honor for Brue, who ended her career 12th in career points (1,256), ninth in career steals (127) and seventh in career three-pointers (83). She is the ninth player in program history with 1,200 career points and 600 career rebounds.
Brue led the Bearcats in points, rebounds, assists and steals and started 26 of the 27 games this season. She finished the season sixth in MIAA statistics with seven rebounds per game, seventh with a 38.5 field goal percentage and ninth with 14.1 points per game. Her 20 rebounds against Fort Hays State Dec. 29 was the highest mark by any MIAA player this season and broke the Bearcat Arena record.
Brue put together an 18-game double-digit scoring streak from Nov. 21-Jan. 28, the longest streak in program history since 2000.
