MARYVILLE -- The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team will host Truman State tonight in Bearcat Arena at 5:30 p.m. It's the first home for the Bearcats in the month of February. Kelli Nelson needs just two points to become the 21st player in Northwest history to score 1,000 career points.

In the last meeting with the Lady Bulldogs, Nelson broke the Northwest all-time 3-point mark hitting 4-of-11 from the beyond the arc. Truman came out with the win, 84-82, with Julia Montebello banking in a running jumper with just one second left. The Lady Bulldogs come into Maryville on a four-game losing streak and sit sixth in the MIAA, behind Northwest.
