Women's Hoops Team Shoots 87% for 24-Hours
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team shot 87% in the Shaq's 24-hour nightmare fundraiser. Fifteen players shot a total of 8,385 free throws making 7,343 in the fundraising effort.
April Miller shot the most free throws chucking 675, while Lauren Williams was the most efficient making 95.5% (549-575). Five players eclipsed 90% at the line, some shooting during the middle of the night.
The Bearcats open practice today and will prepare for its first contest, an exhibition game versus Illinois State on Nov. 3 in Normal, Ill.
