Shaq's 24-Hour Nightmare Fund-Raiser set for October 12 & 13
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team is giving Shaquille O'Neil nightmares as they shoot free throws for 24 consecutive hours. Shaq is known for his basketball talents and his free throw struggles. The marathon begins at noon Friday, October 12 and continues until noon on Saturday, October 13.
The women's basketball team is having the free throw marathon as part of their annual fund raising activities. Boosters of each player make a pledge in the name of the player.
The team divides into three person groups and shoot free throws for five hours over two time slots. The shooting will take place in Bearcat Arena in the Lamkin Activity Center.
Anyone is welcome to check out the marathon any time during the 24-hour event. You can see the conclusion on your way to the Northwest and Central Missouri football game that begins at 1 p.m.
