Volleyball Ranked Sixth in Preseason MIAA Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State volleyball team was ranked sixth in the MIAA Preseason Coaches poll, released by the conference on Tuesday morning. The Bearcats received 68 total points.


Nebraska-Kearney received eight of the 12 first place votes to lead the voting with 118 total points. Central Missouri was second with 108 points and one first place vote. Washburn was ranked third with 107 points and the remaining three first place votes. Emporia State (89 points) and Pittsburg State (71 points) rounded out the top five.

The Bearcats will begin practice on Monday, Aug. 19, and start the season against MSU-Moorehead at the Winona State Tournament on Sept. 6.
