Bearcat volleyball announces summer camps
MARYVILLE, Mo. – Head Coach Amy Phelps and the Northwest Missouri State volleyball program has announced five camp dates this summer.
The Bearcats will host four individual camps with one team camp during the month of July. Teams interested in the Bearcat Team Camp July 26-28 can have the option of only competing in tournament action July 27 and 28.
Elite Camp 1 starting July 14-16 invites athletes grades 9-12 that are interested in playing at the collegiate level. July 18-20 the Bearcat coaching staff will host Elite Camp 2 for elite level players that are interested in being a member of the Bearcat team and/or looking to play at a high collegiate level. You must have had at least two years’ experience on the varsity team or high level club team. This camp is limited to 50 players.
Campers from 7th to 12th grade looking to develop their skills as they prepare for their upcoming season in the All Skills Camp July 23-24. Players will be challenged in all aspects of the game focusing on the fundamentals of passing, serving, setting, blocking, attacking and defense. Campers will be grouped with players of similar skill level and age range.
The Mini Cat Camp will run July 23-24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day. Players in grades 3-6 will have the chance to focus on basic fundamentals and on having fun while learning the game of volleyball.
