Bearcats suffer 3-0 loss at UNK
KEARNEY, Neb. – The Northwest Missouri State Volleyball team lost to nationally ranked Nebraska-Kearney 3-0 in front of a crowd of 754 Saturday afternoon.
Nebraska-Kearney holds the top spot in the MIAA and improves their record to 28-2, 14-1 MIAA with the win Saturday. The 25-17, 25-15, 25-16 loss gives Northwest a 14-15 record overall and they fall to an 8-8 conference record.
The Nebraska-Kearney offense was led by Katie Sokolowski who totaled 10 kills in the game. Sokolowski leads the conference with an amazing .404 hitting percentage.
Ariel Krolikowski, who leads the conference in kills, had eight in the game.
Brooke Bartosh ranks second behind Krolikowski for total kills this season and led the Bearcat offense with nine in the game.
The Bearcats play their final two regular season games this week. The team travels to play Southwest Baptist on the road Tuesday, and wrap up the season Saturday against Truman in the final home volleyball game of the regular season.
