Bearcats set for 2011 Southwest Baptist Purple Bash

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State volleyball team will continue the 2011 season by traveling to Bolivar for the 2011 Southwest Baptist Purple Bash. The Bearcats will play a pair of games both Friday and Saturday of the tournament.

Story Lines
This Weekend: The Bearcats travel to Bolivar for the Southwest Baptist Purple Bash. Northwest opens action on Friday with Arkansas-Fort Smith and Central Oklahoma. They close out play on Saturday with Minnesota State and Lindenwood.
Last Time Out: The Bearcats fell to 2-2 on the season by dropping a pair of matches to close out the Nebraska-Omaha Showcase to Augustana and Winona State. The night before Northwest got off to a hot start by sweeping a pair of games against Minnesota State-Moorhead and Northern State to kick-off the UNO Showcase and 2011 season.
Up Next: The Bearcats will travel to Emporia, KS to face the eighteenth-ranked Emporia State Hornets. Northwest is looking to turn the tables on the Hornets after having been swept by them 6-0 last season.
