Bearcats Picked Sixth in MIAA

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bearcat volleyball team was picked to finish sixth on Wednesday while two-time defending champion Central Missouri earned the top pick as announced by the league office.

Northwest Missouri State is coming off its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance behind second year head coach Jessica Rinehart.  The Bearcats earned an at-large bid to the NCAA South Central Region tournament where they fell in the first round to Washburn.

The Jennies were picked to win their third MIAA Title by earning all nine coaches votes (coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team.)  Washburn received the remaining first place vote and was picked second followed by Truman, and Emporia State also NCAA Tournament participants.
