The Fall Season Has Arrived
-Paige Spangenberg, Junior, L/DS, Volleyball
What a busy time of the year! Sorry for the lack of posting the last couple weeks, my life has pretty much just consisted of studying, studying and more studying. Having four tests in one week is not my idea of fun. Fortunately, most of my tests went pretty well. Other than studying and of course, volleyball, staying healthy has been another important factor. The "cold season" has definitely hit around here and just about everyone on the team has been sick at some point in the last few weeks it seems.
We've hit kind of a rough patch in the season in terms of wins, but we have fought hard and battled day in and day out. Our most recent match was last night against Missouri Western. We didn't come out on top, but we definitely know what needs to be done the next time we step out on the floor. Lucky us…we have two opportunities left this week to pick up a couple wins!
We travel to Truman on Friday and have Missouri Southern home on Saturday. I also wanted to thank everyone who came out and supported us last night, especially being that it was Pink Out night. We had such an awesome "pink" crowd!
Now that we are over halfway into October, it is safe to say this is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the fall (except the weather is more winter-like right now!), mainly because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Another good reason to like this time of year is because it's Grey's Anatomy time! Yes, I am a loyal Grey's fan, along with Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters…thank goodness for DVR!
