Northwest Falls in Three to Missouri Southern
JOPLIN, Mo. - Alex Hanna had double-digit kills for the second straight match and ninth time this season as Northwest Missouri State (8-19, 5-9) dropped a three-set match to Missouri Southern (7-18, 2-11) tonight at Young Gymnasium. Scores went 25-23, 25-14, 25-16.
Hanna made seven of her team-high 11 kills in the first set and led all players with a .429 hitting percentage in the first frame. She added a solo block in the third set during a seven-point Northwest rally.
Paige Spangenberg entered the top five in season dig records with 15 tonight to improve her season total to 517. Amber Ryan made five blocks for the second straight match and added five digs.
Andrea Potter recorded a match-high 21 assists and made a pair of blocks to extend her blocking streak to four matches.
