Potter Notches Second Double-Double in Loss to No. 9 Emporia State

EMPORIA, Kan. - Andrea Potter recorded her second consecutive double-double with 22 assists and 12 digs as the Bearcats (8-17, 5-8) fell in three sets to No. 9 Emporia State (26-2, 12-1) tonight at White Auditorium. Scores went 25-12, 25-15, 25-14.

Amber Ryan recorded three of her team-high four blocks in the first set. Iesha Haskins added another three blocks in the first set, including a solo block off an attack from Emporia State's Brittney Miller to cap a 3-1 Northwest run.

The Bearcats improved their hitting through the match, peaking with 11 kills in the third set. Ryan made five kills in the set to give her a team-high eight kills for the match.

Paige Spangenberg led Northwest with 16 digs to improve her season total to 874 and move into eighth in all-time records. Potter added a pair of blocks for her second consecutive match with multiple blocks.

Up Next: Northwest returns home for a nonconference match with Rockhurst Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
