Spangenberg Reaches 1,000 Career Digs in Loss to Washburn
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Paige Spangenberg recorded 20 digs tonight to become the 12th Bearcat in program history to record 1,000 career digs as Northwest dropped a 3-0 match to No. 7 Washburn in front of a record 717 fans in Bearcat Arena. Scores went 25-20, 25-14, 25-16.
Katie Swenson recorded her 10th double-double of the season and 25th of her career with 17 assists and 10 digs. Andrea Potter added another 14 assists as the two accounted for all of the Northwest assists.
Amber Ryan had eight kills and hit .316 to lead the Bearcat offense. Sara Falcone led all players with three blocks to maintain her block-per-set average in October and added seven kills for a .250 hitting percentage.
Up Next: Northwest travels to Fort Hays State Oct. 24 for a 7 p.m. match with the Tigers.
